June 2012 Prayer Request

When we first arrived in Mauritius nearly 12 months ago I had my eye on this ideal position for a church Building....it has good potential.

Now 1 year into our work here we believe this central region is where we will seek to establish a work. 1 month ago I became aware of a property for sale right in this ideal location I’d been thinking of. The land size is 525 s/m and would need to be approved as a place of worship. The photos show the shopping complex, and bus station right across the major highway from the property.

After seeking the Lord for some time now, I have taken the first step and ( by faith) placed an offer for it’s acquisition. Recently had word that someone else from the UK has a higher bid???

Now we prayerfully are seeing what God will do and say.
I feel it necessary at this point to mention it to you all. Appreciate your prayers.

Dear partners in ministry,

The year's end is here, and "only what's done for Christ will last"

This letter only has one prayer request; a fuller report will come in the New Year.

Gloria in Excelsis Deo

We have been greatly encouraged by the caroling ministries we held in the village of Rosebelle. 

Many were ministered to with the Gospel preached in the shopping centre, and then, to our surprise, we were broadcasted through the whole island, on its only television station, singing Silent night.

In the midst of dark religious oppression, God has his way!

Fresh insight:

Attached below is a site exposing a large christian Cult here in Mauritius called "Eglise Chretienne" headed by their apostle Miki Hardy.

We frequently come across people who are either in there or casualties of this manipulative mega church.

Children from Christian homes outside Mauritius are being deceived to leave their families, lie to immigration, marry strangers, and come and serve this mega church, it's frightening to parents.

On the surface it sounds so good, until you see the false doctrine of this angel of light.

Their devilish message is deny yourself, take up your cross, sell up, and experience the joy of giving.

This false prophet/apostle has deceived many in various ways, causing many skeptical Mauritians to be even more skeptic when approached with the gospel.

Nevertheless, we'll keep plowing ahead.

Miracle At The Eleventh Hour - July 2011

After 12 months of being on the market with next to no response; the Lord has shown himself faithful in sending a buyer for our house out of the blue.

How encouraging and strengthening it has been to see the Lord’s fingerprints all over this sale. He has sent someone who lives around the corner, is a cabinet maker by trade, and has five children. Coincidence ?? You’re prayers have been answered.

Missions Update - March 2011

Dear praying brethren,

Thank you, for your fervent prayers in relation to our House sale...the previous prospective buyer we had has fallen through.

Next week we are having a short break down in Albany by the beach, a family member has graciously offered their home to us (blessing!) We need a, "no meeting to get too", family break.

After our time in Albany we will be on the last leg of deputation, as follows:

• 20th March Kalgoorlie WA to an aboriginal church
• 23rd Mach Elliston, SA French families (contacts of Pastor Jim Moore)
• 27th March Melbourne Faith Baptist Church
• 3rd April Albury Lavington Baptist Church.

Then its back home to Sydney.

Please be in prayer in relation to the remaining churches we have; that the Lord will give us utterance as we seek to "exhort the saints to cleave to the Lord with purpose of heart."
